An arrogant, ambitious way of political expansion of the European powers around the turn of the century led to the colonization of the entire African continent. Numerous plantations and mines guaranteed the economical use of resources. The diorama is meant to give you the impression of the atmosphere and the doings on a banana plantation in former German East Africa.
